Thailand was absolutely amazing! I went to Chiang Mai on my friend Nono's suggestion and it was well worth it. I was traveling with my friend Gabbi for this part of the journey which made it even better. Chiang Mai is known as the capital of the north in Thailand and even with that reputation it has a feeling of being fairly small and quiet (it is quite big however). It was isolated except by river and elephant travel until the 1920s.
We did a cooking class which was great fun and went to an elephant sanctuary where we got to play with the elephants. Overall the atmosphere and vibe of the city is amazing and I would highly recommend it.
