Bhutan!!!

So Bhutan lived up to all the expectations I had for it, and I had really high expectations. It is a very clean, well managed country that takes incredibly good care of its citizens. Most of their economy is three industries: tourism, agriculture, and hydro-electric power (which they sell to their neighbors). They have a negative carbon footprint, which means their forest absorbs more carbon than they use. They are quite fortunate to have a small population and to have such a responsible government. They do strongly benefit from the cheap labour sources their neighbors provide. It also allows them to focus on upskilling and educating their population. Overall a very impressive country, incredibly beautiful, and somewhere I wish I had more time in.
